Environmental Policy
We have implemented the following measures to help reduce our waste, pollution and carbon impact.
•Where possible, breakfast ingredients are sourced locally (lowering food mileage)
•Almost all light bulbs used at the bed and breakfast are low energy bulbs.
•Where possible, we use energy efficient appliances
•All windows are fully double glazed.
•Laundry is washed with environmentally friendly products in an energy efficient machine
•When possible, laundry is line dried
•Most toilets are fitted with both full and half flush buttons
•Lights and electrical appliances are switched off when not in use
•We recycle all paper, tins, cardboard, and glass waste
•We reduce paper use by managing our business electronically
Guests are invited to help by:
•Switching off lights when they are not in use
•Turning off the television at the mains when not in use
Fire Safety
The entire property is protected by a wireless fire alarm system comprising 12 smoke detectors / alarm sounders and 3 manual break glass points, one of which is
situated on each floor of the house. Fire extinguishers are located on each floor of the house. Fire safety instructions are posted on the back of guest bedroom
doors and guests are requested to familiarise themselves with the instructions upon arrival. Please ask if you would like us to clarify any points or if you would
like more information.
Smoking Policy
We have a no smoking policy throughout the bed and breakfast. Guests wishing to smoke are welcome to do so in the garden to the front of the house, where seating and some shelter is provided.
