19th-21st - Shrewsbury International Cartoon Festival - The event attracts around 40 top cartoonists and caricaturists from the UK and abroad and offers a unique opportunity to see their creative flair in action and buy some of their work.

11th-12th - The Shropshire Truck Show - Hundreds of trucks on display. Live Arena - See the Monster Trucks 'Shropshire Champion Swamp Thing' & 'Podzilla', Celebrity Guests include Craig Charles from TV's Red Dwarf. Great entertainment for the whole family. Held at the West Mid Showground, Shrewsbury

11th-12th - Shrewsbury Regatta - Enjoy 2 days of exciting races on the river Severn. Refreshments available from Pengwerm Boat Club. 9am-6pm each

18th - The Shropshire County Horse Show - Dressage, Hunter classes and Livery yard competition

25th - The Shropshire County Show - An agricultural show, with a fantastic range of entertainments for all the family
June 2013
1st - 2nd - Mid Shropshire Vintage Vehicle Show - This years Vinstage vehicle rally will be held at the Shropshire Show Ground, Shrewsbury.

9th - RAF Cosford Air Show - One of the country's top aviation events offering a day of wonder, excitement and entertainment.

9th - Shrewsbury River Festival - The second river festival held in Shrewsbury Quarry. A fantastic family fun day out with a "pirates on the Severn" theme.

15th - Shrewsbury Carnival - All day entertainment in The Quarry from 10.30am - 5.00pm.

23rd - Shrewsbury Marathon - Shrewsbury's first Marathon and half marathon expected to attract over 2000 runners. Starting and ending in The Quarry park

29-30th - Shrewsbury Food Festival - Shrewsbury's first food festival with over 70 food, drink and craft stalls. Held in The Quarry park from 10am - 6.00pm.

30th June - Shrewsbury Dragon Boat Festival - Takes place on the river Severn at Pengwern Boat Club in Shrewsbury and features teams of 20 people racing against each other in 40 foot long Dragon Boats. The event is an important fundraising event for Severn Hospice
July 2013
13-14th - Attingham Summer Food Fair - Held at Attingham Park (National Trust). Free event but normal entrance fees apply. Browse over 30 local food and craft stalls in a stunning historic setting and take home delicious treats and gifts for you and your family.

13th-15th - Wenlock Olympian Games - The first ever Modern Olympian Games, the brainchild of Dr Brookes, were held in Much Wenlock in 1850. There is little doubt that the games inspired people all over Europe and contributed to the re-birth of the modern Olympic Games in 1896. Today they attract athletes from all over the country.

9th-10th - Shrewsbury Flower Show - The world's longest running horticultural show

23th-26th - Shrewsbury Folk Festival - Considered to be one of the premier events in Shropshire it offers musical and cultural diversity, a fun packed four days and a family holiday with something for everyone

25th-26th - Shrewsbury Steam Rally - Shrewsbury Steam Engine & Vintage Vehicle Rally.

13th-15th - Shrewsbury Fields Forever Festival - Shropshire"s dedicated multi arena indie, rock, alternative, electronic, dance and popular music and arts festival returns to the heart of Shrewsbury.

14th-16th - Battle of Britain Weekend - RAF Cosford - a nostalgic family weekend of events and activities for the whole family to enjoy.

12th-15th - Heritage Open Days - A festival celebrating English architecture and culture offering the opportunity to see many buildings of historical significance that would not normaly be open to the public. Many English Heritage and National Trust properties take part in the event and to our knowledge, entry to all events and activities is free of charge.

26th TBC - Ghostly Gaslight, Blists Hill Victorian Town - A good night out with a great atmosphere culminating in fireworks. Ironbridge. Opens at 6pm.
